I-O now offers a circuit board upgrade service for the Wicked Air Sports Equalizer or "WAS" boards.

I setup this post like a FAQ to help answer some questions.

What features does the OLD software offer?

The old version of software that was originally released on the boards was v2.0. The features on the board were adjustable dwell, debounce, eye mode, BIP, ROF, and eye sensitivity.

What features does the NEW software offer?

The newest version of software is v2.4. This software offers all the same features as the old version but it also had new firing modes. The firing modes include selectable semi-auto, PSP ramping, and NXL full auto.

How do I know what software is on my board?

Start up your board in programming mode. (see manual for more info) Pulling and releasing the trigger will change LED colors, advancing to the next programing feature. The order of the LED colors is as follows...solid red, solid green, solid orange, flickering red, flickering green, flickering orange, and alternating green/orange.

If you DO NOT have the color code "alternating green/orange," then you have the OLD software.

If you DO have the color code "alternating green/orange"...congratulations you have the NEW software!

Ok, I have the old software. How do I get my board upgraded?

Send your board in a sturdy box to...PM me for address!

How much does it cost?

$15, which includes return shipping!

PayPal: sales@impulse-owners.com

When will I get my board back?

All boards will be shipped back out to the customer roughly 3 days after the board is received.

That's a great idea..since WAS is no longer around. I would do this for sure if I wasn't already on the latest software.

I'm so glad I found this forum again and that y'all have a spot for WAS boards.  OK here's the problem with mine.  When I turn it on everything is fine I click the trigger and nothing happens.  So I took the board out of the try and tried pushing the micro switch directly and still nothing so I'm thinking I might need a new micro switch right?  If I do change out the switch what should I use? A 25g or 50g?  It's going be a little bit before I can really do anything to it though I'm deployed right now and the thought of what might be wrong just hit me outta know where. Thanx in advance for y'all help

I'll ask the silly question.  Battery up to the task?  A fresh one.  Lights come on and color?  Any change when you pull the trigger?  Sounds like you know what you are doing, but figured I'd toss those out there anyway.
Thanks for doing your service for all of us back home.  We took off our hats and gave a moment of silence for you all at our scenario game on Saturday.

Yup battery was fresh.  That was the first thing I changed out.  when I turned it on the lights come on and they flash and everything.  When I pull the trigger the light would go out then come back on.  What leads me to believe its the switch is cuz it didnt sound like the trigger was engaging or hitting so I took the board out and pushed the switch with my finger and there was no change, no light blink or anything.  Which switch should I try the 25g or the 50g? Actually wich one comes on the board?  Thankx for the moment of silence we apprecieate it.

Press and release the power button so the LED flashes orange (eye system off) and then pull the trigger.  If the LED now blinks green, then the switch is working just fine and something else is wrong.

Hi guys I finially made it back to the good 'ol USA.  I got my imp working again!! So excited.  I pulled out the WAS board and put in a cricket vision.  Played for the first time in close to a year.  It was great! The field compressed air was down and was limited to C02.  So I took off the LPR as a pre-caution and straped on a C02 tank and rolled out.  All in all it was a good day. It's always fun to see people's jaws drop when when you rip off a couple ropes with something they just laughed at few minutes ago for being ancient and bulky. Although my Halo TSA hooper did died on me and I sat out the last two games. Embarrassed It was a big fun day.

Even tho I got my baby up and running again I would like to get it back to optimal condition.  I checked my WAS board and here's what it does (fresh battery installed LOL) Turned it on and green light comes on then it goes out and dont come on.  Push the power buttom again red light comes on and the gun is off. So any ideas of what's goin on with the board ? Can I still send it to I-O adress to get checked out and possibly fixed?   Also anyone know where I can get some new microline for the LPR? Its to short  Sad when I gas it up the line shoots off the tapeworm inlet nipple.
