This valve came in a body that I got as a parts group the other day.  Never seen anything like it.  Please chime in.  The front is Brass and the back side is Stainless.  Mated together with an o-ring.  The housing is flared to accept the funnel shape of the valve.  It is made of anodized aluminum I believe.  Really heavy compared to the Delrin (?) valves that I am used to in stock Imps.

I did a little more poking.  The housing for this and a "standard" valve are the same except that this one is 1 gram lighter.  Hmm.  The weight difference between the plunger part is significant.  33 grams.  28 grams = one ounce.

Yeah.  The pictures are somewhat dark, but the body of that plunger is Stainless Steel.

I know this is a little old, but I'll post anyway! Wink That's an early Imp valve and body. I remember them from the SP tech class, a while before they started using delrin for them. I even used to make delrin replacements for some people before they were offering them.

Thanks for the info.  I am not surprised that this was an early one considering the weight.  A treasure it is.  Don't think I'll install it anywhere though.

Believe it or not, it was still more than capable of performing well. My first 'Pulse had one, and it didn't let me down.
