Been researching my butt off, and have a question before i get an LPR.  Like the subject says, should i put the lpr in the port where the prv is and move the prv to the back of the gun?  or should i just get one with a tapped front cap?

i've read that the lpr can possibly charge faster if put in the prv port due to it not losing air when the valve is hit.  i see most have the lpr on the front cap.  anyone have experience or knowledge either way?  is there any benefit or downsides to either way.

about to buy a smart parts lpr and can save money if i get one without a front cap.

i know there are a lot of questions here, so thanks for your time.

As far as I know, the different locations for the LPR is really just cosmetic. It may make a SLIGHT difference one way over the other but nothing that will be noticable.

ok cool, i think i'll put it in the prv port.  it'll ease my mind on any performance gain, weather perceived or not lol.  i kinda like the look of it there mostly Tongue

just bought the sp lpr last night, along with a slik shot ram and ss mid hammer.  found blue cocker tubing to match my gun too.  very excited, can't wait.

also, while looking at the IO library (huge help with all the resources in one spot!), i added up what my new internals will be.

SP strange bolt (came with gun)...370 grains
SP titanium pin (came with gun)...108 grains
NDZ Slik Shot ram (NEW!)...........259 grains
NDZ SS Mid Hammer (NEW!)........460 grains
Total new weight........................1197 grains

how's that for close to the fabled 1200 grains?  lol Cheesy

old weight was 1445.  i know this number was a big controversy and is an old thing, but still fun to know i'll be that close to 1200 lol.

also, very cool to find out that a grain is 15.4323584 grams.

oh, i also got the LPR that comes with a tapped front cap in case i don't like it in the prv port/doesn't fit/options.  $10 wasn't worth fretting over.

Nice! 1197 grains is spot on! I too like the look of the LPR on the PRV port. Eventhough I have yet to have an imp setup like that haha.

It's nice to see some new blood in here that is excited up a matching blue cocker tube!! I still get pumped up when all the pieces start falling into place and my gun is looking kick ***! Wink
