My guess is the prior owner already had the vert, and picked up the horizontal, and never took the vert off. Or vice versa. You don't really need both. Now, if this is a male horizontal (that threads into the tank), then you'll be wanting to keep that one and just put a gas-thru grip in place of the vert.

I'd even lose the horizontal, and toss a nice on/off with an air bleed on it. Either way you prefer I guess.

No more horizontal reg, cp on/off... BUT i got a dang leak, where the vert max flow screws in there in a set screw/plug for the tape worm. And it seems to be to long. The adapter i have has a spot for the screw/plug, but no matter how i line it up it still leaks. Right where the adapter meets the body..

Common problem. Take the VA off and make sure there's an o-ring between it and the body, and make sure it's greased. Also, if the set screw is too ling and keeping the ASA from sitting flush, get a shorter screw. Try making sure it's all the way in first though. And lastly, apply blue loctite to the ASA screw to help seal it and keep it in place.
