I miss playing.  I miss the guys in Michigan.  I miss the tournaments, Giovani, Bear, all of the pro players that I became friends with, Bob Long, Bud Orr, and a select few other manufacturers.  Maybe someday I will re-open WAS.  Smiley

I had no idea WAS was based out of Michigan.

I supposed my youth kept me disconnected from a lot of aspects of the sport back in the day.

What part of Michigan are you from Jim?

I wish you the best of luck with everything sir.

First of all I'm glad to here about your wife, that she's still on this earth. I also didn't know WAS was out of Michigan. But than again I just joined this forum today. And I've been shooting impulses forever. And still am.

WAS is located in Arizona.  The Rat Factory team that I played for, and later became WAS Factory is based in Michigan.

Walt, who had a store in Michigan was trying to get me to make an Equalizer board (they really aren't called "WAS boards") for the Impulse.  I was chatting with him about perhaps doing it and made a prototype.  In one of our conversations he said that one of his teams playing at the Skyball indoor tournament in Canada was losing a player to the Gulf war and wanted to know if I would be interested in playing.  I hopped on a plane and played with 4 guys I had never met before and took 5th out of 140+ teams.  Ever since then, I played with those guys.  Great bunch of people.
