Didnt see this post anywhere. So what are everybodys settings? Post up your dwell/internals/pressures ect. and how well its working as far as accuracy/consistency/speed
Ok so mine are:
-vision board dwell at 5.5-6ms
-lpr according to my gauges number is about 5-10psi
(actually about 110psi)
-all evil internals
-main input pressure 195psi

I'll go ahead and post my settings. I've done a crap load of tuning on this setup, and have experimented with countless dwell and pressure settings, and even different spring weights for the valve. I think I've got just about as close to perfect as I can get.
NDZ ram housing
NDZ ram
NDZ mid-weight hammer
Evil valve (air passage drilled and polished)
custom ultra light-weight valve spring
Shocktech stubby bolt
NDZ/ANS Jackhammer LPR
Max-Flo vert reg
WAS board (newest flash)
Board: 6ms dwell
LPR: 80psi
HPR: 140psi
Velocity: 290 fps, +/- 5 fps
Efficiency: close to 1000 rounds on a 68/3K

how did you drill out that evil valve and do you think it made a difference in air flow? What did you use for a spring? I am running evil internals and LPR, hoping to get pressure down. Was running 7 on dwell, 100 on LPR and 200 on HPR. 285 +/-.

Dopey, I hope thats a typo, vision boards start at 4ms. They cannot be set lower then that.
For the record
WAS board
SS Rathole hammer
NDZ valve, slik-shot ram, stubby delrin bolt
Settings
Hpr - 155-160
Lpr - 80
Dwell - 7ms
Debounce - 10 (i think)
BIP - 3

Lol thought they bottomed out at 0. That number did seem incredibly low to me though, original post edited

If by "how" you mean the actual process, I did it on a drill press. The passage is just slightly bigger than the stock valve, which is huge compared to the Evil valve. For a valve spring, well I've had two different setups. With the old Evil LPR I was using a stretched spring from a Spyder valve spring kit. Then after I got the NDZ LPR I actually went to the hardware store. I wanted the lightest spring I could find and ended up with beehive spring. Basically its shape not only fits the cup seal ont he valve, but also seats properly on the volumizer's spring perch. And to add to that, the shape and size allow the spring to operate without binding or the use of a spring guide. Which allows for maximum volume in the dump chamber. As far as the difference it made, well I can only speculate that the added flow made some sort of difference. The day I got the gun, I pulled the valve out, looked at it, and thought no, this small passage just will not do.

Just got back from a field using their chrono. here's a list of what i put into the thing.
NDZ slick shot
NDZ ss mid hammer
NDZ rip valve (thanks Deathss!)
NDZ volumizer with sp lpr
titanium pin
strange bolt
max flow reg
cricket vision
settings:
Hpr 180
Lpr 65
Dwell 7.5
+/- 5 around 290 fps
i went to the field with hpr 160 lpr 60 and dwell at 7 and it was shooting 270 fps +/- 5 . i raised the hpr and it DROPPED to 150-160 fps. so then i raised the lpr and it only went up slightly. so i then upped the dwell 2 beeps to 7.5 ms. and got where i needed to be. i think i went past the pressure bell curve and have too much hpr to the rip valve (too much pressure on the valve's cup seal causing me to counter with more dwell or lpr pressure wasting gas). i've heard of this happening with rip valve above 160-165 psi. i should have backed off the hpr till there was no more gain. then increased lpr leaving the dwell at 7. crazy how much more flow goes through the rip valve. rather impressive!
i realized what more needed to be experimented with, but by this time the field started getting tons of people so i couldn't tweak any further. did let the ref (about 19 years old) shoot my imp though, he thought it was sweet! he was impressed at my rear port tester gauge hack job. lol
think i'm going to buy a chono next paycheck
