Is there a trick to removing a jackhammer lpr?

They don't have one of those quick disconnect elbows like the NDZ lprs do. I want to take the jackhammer off one gun and slap it on another.

Thanks.

Pics? Not exactly sure what you are referring to? I have owned a few Jackhammers and never had any issue with them.

I'll try and get some for you today lights.

NDZ lprs have that disconnect elbow just like a macroline fitting to disconnect the hose that goes from the tapeworm into the LPR. Jackhammers don't have that.

My question is, how do I remove the hose going into the LPR from the tapeworm so I can unscrew the LPR.

I hope this makes sense..

Here is what I'm trying to explain:

Unless i am missing something, There is no way to disconnect the hose that is connected to the tapeworm. If I unscrew it, the hose will just keep twisting. I could get it if this way but I wouldn't be able to screw it onto another gun.

Does this make sense?

I believe that collar slides back along the hose.  Grab it by the raised "T" sections and tug back off the barb.  Isn't that just adding some extra pressure on a barb end?  Some lube may help it slide along.   Looks like you have some extra length to the hose too.  You could cut it off and then just pick at the remaining bit under the collar.  I use dental tools for that type of work usually.

black is right. just slide the colar off. might need a little persuading though. Wink

another trick is to take a lighter and very quickly heat the tubing around the barb, that will give it some flexibility and should come off easier. I always use the lighter trick when attaching the lpr hoses to the barb.
