ramping or no ramping..I will put my pulse with a flashed WAS against a up Ion anyday even in semi, not the gun it is the player haha, but seriously I have a friend who loves his egos, eteks ect.. he is impressed with the setup and I keep right up so personal preference! And I saved hundreds of $$$ compared to what he spent!

No ramping. Just straight semi.... ya the money factor is a big deal for me too. I have  fully upped ion that i built out of 3 broken ones its great. And that is what im doing with the 3 Impys i have now. Cant wait to get it done and post pics.

Having owned, shot, and built both Ions and Impulses, I have to go with the Impulse.  I was shooting a custom built Ion prior to picking up the Imp, and about a week after getting my Imp, I started selling off my Ions piece by piece.

I loved my Ion for a couple of reasons.  For one, they're cheap.  Even building one from the ground up is a far smaller expense than buying say a new DM or Ego, even a Rail or an Etek.  They're also incredibly reliable and when properly tuned, they shoot as smooth as any spoolie out there.  And I never had an Ion fail on me, not once.

The Impulse, on the other hand, has been the absolute best gun I've owned, considering what I spent on it.  Granted, I love DMs and I really, really miss my Cockers.  But I've been nothing but impressed with my Impulse.  With the mods I've put in it, I've still got less invested than what I ever spent on any gun, including my Ions.  And with those mods I get fast, smooth, quiet, kick-free operation.  Not to mention amazing efficiency, and with the offensively low operationg pressures my gun runs at, I can shoot the most brittle of paint.  My only complaint is the weight.  The gun is a brick, no two ways about it.  But really, I don't notice it in game, and the weight only helps with the smooth feel.
