OK so i have an 04 imp on the vertical adapter when i gas it up the air rushes out of the brass piece on the adapter. So is the brass piece a blowout disk and can it be fixed or do i need a new vertical adapter

That (usually brass) piece is a HPV - high pressure valve that is protecting the 'noid from getting blown out.  Turn down your reg pressure and see if it stops blowing.  I am not sure what the pressure relief is set at, but mine says 240 amongst a bunch of other numbers.  That may be the PSI that it opens at.  I suppose that it is possible to damage one.  Make sure there isn't some piece of debris holding it open if turning down the reg doesn't stop it's hissing.
The part can be replaced without changing out the the whole VA.

Yea i tried that no matter how low you turn the pressure it still just blows out of the hpv. So i think its broke and needs replaced.
