i got a pre 05 impulse and wanna upgrade this beast with a newer feedneck, i tried to twist off the feedneck but seems like it wont twist maybe im twisting it the wrong way or are they press fitted? could someone please shed some light on this problem so i may get to play with my imp sometime soon. thanks

They are a standard threading - right to tighten and left to loosen.  I have heard of people epoxying in the neck if they have stripped the threads.  Hopefully not the case for you.  A good strap wrench will give you torque without scratching.  Like this one.  http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00945533000P?prdNo=3&blockNo=3&blockType=G3

yea hopefully. ill check it tonight since im apparently still at work. and i should prolly go out and buy one of those strap wrenches they look really handy.
