When smartparts died 2 companies bought rights to designs. GI Milsim turned them into 50 cals and then GOG has been producing 68 cal markers. GI Milsim is the only one making a impulse though. Both companies are making freak barrels and some of the others.

Has anyone ever shot a .50 caliber marker? I'd be curious to shoot one myself.

I have actually. It was a 50 cal spyder opus semiauto. It's kinda weird cause alot of the marker is smaller. They're lightweight for sure. I liked how it shot, very little kick for a mechanical blowback. The ammo is tiny, but overall it shot like a paintball marker. If I had the extra cash I would buy one. Spyder and GI milsim are the only 2 companies I've seen. Wish someone would make an old style impulse scaled down to 50 cal and with a blackheart or was standard equip. scary stuff.
