I give you the Super Rat. 

It started life as a plain-jane vision Rat with no upgrades.  Well, I decided to change that.........



I have only seen 2 other Imps with breakbeams.  So I decided that I needed to dabble with this breakbeam thing.... So away with the Cricket board and in with the new guts.



I didn't want wires hanging on the sides, so I made a cover out of aluminum.



Threw her back together with all NDZ internals, LPR, Mercury bolt and a Ti pin.




Powered her up



My what nice blue eyes you have.......




Then off to the porch to test at 20bps.



I've had it running at 25, but never shot a video of it.

So, before you ask - why didn't I upgrade the reg or use an I-Frame?  I don't like I frames, and I wanted this thing to look as harmless as I could to where someone says "no big deal, it's just an Impulse".  Then I unleash the beast within......

How much the break beams cost? Might have to send you my Atomix to hook up!

That gun should be called Splinter btw....Splinter was one bad *** rat!

The t-board is $55, BB eyes are $6.  Really, the worst thing is making the eye cover.  The rest is pretty easy to me now that I have done a couple of them.

It's a great board - I have been very impressed with it, not to mention the fact that it can fit just about anywhere in the gun.  It was definitely worthwhile.  Shoot me an e-mail if you want me to do it.

Ugh, the guy with the gold shocker lives near me and refs at the pevs field.

I meant that I want to learn how to install the breakbeams.  my impulse is more "plain jane" than anything else.
