2001 Impulse - Craigslist Rescue

Well, I joined up for the BST, but I figure as long as I'm here I'll make this a log of fixing up the Impy I rescued from the depths of Craigslist. This is my first classic Impulse, so I'll be learning about everything as I go.

Yeah, the guy who had it decided for whatever reason to set it up like that. It works fine, but holding it is a pain, so I'm putting a vert ASA on it soon with a new reg.

Cp reg's are rather light, make sure there is no SS on the gun. I like the release valves, but if you have it tuned in like a pro, they are just added weight.... Hammer assembly needs to go on a diet. and rip valves are golden with kick, and efficient to boot

Then again release valves protect from climb in pressure. I guess it all depends on how baller you are haha

I just want to give the gun decent ergos for now; grabbing that gauge doesn't feel good, lol. I'll worry about diving into the internals later.

Update: It's got a vert ASA, LPR and tapeworm (thanks in part to camocow and MrLuckypants). I ditched the drop forward (never really been a fan). The reg and ASA were the only spare ones I had, so they're just placeholders for now, or I may just consider that good enough and run it like that, lol.
